Many people have told me that my artworks remind them of someone they know. Even though I usually don't do portraits or commissions, I have created a series called "The Familiar" that allows you to own a piece of my art that you can connect with on a personal level.
"The Familiar" is a collection of portraits that represent the characters I encounter during my creative process. This series is unique because although each portrait is pre-created, it doesn't become complete until it's given a name and identity. As the collector, you can release the artwork from its passive state by naming it and giving it meaning that reflects your own story. Each given name will be displayed on my website and on the Certificate of Authenticity that comes with each artwork.

I created these pieces in my Amsterdam studio, and each one is unique, signed, and printed on archival heavyweight fine art paper from Hahnemühle. The size of each piece is 16.5 inches by 23.4 inches (420mm x 594mm).
